What this helps with
- ✓Validating an idea before building anything
- ✓Defining a clear offer and target customer
- ✓Getting first customers without a big audience
- ✓Managing time while keeping a day job
- ✓Setting up the legal and financial basics
Step-by-step plan
- 1
Validate the idea (Week 1)
Talk to 10 potential customers before building. Ask about their pain, not your solution. Write 3 sentences describing the problem you solve.
- 2
Define your offer (Week 2)
One sentence: "I help [who] do [what] so that [outcome]." Price your offer. Start with services before products — faster to revenue, better feedback.
- 3
Build the minimum viable presence (Week 3)
One-page website or landing page. Business email. Simple way to get paid (Stripe, PayPal, bank transfer). No logo needed yet.
- 4
Get your first customer (Week 4–5)
Reach out directly to 20–30 people in your network. Offer a discounted or free first engagement for a testimonial. Do it manually before automating.
- 5
Legal and financial setup (Week 5–6)
Register as ZZP/eenmanszaak (NL) or equivalent. Separate business bank account. Track income and expenses from day 1. Consult an accountant for BTW threshold.
- 6
Build a repeatable process (Week 7–8)
Document how you deliver results. Create a simple onboarding process. Ask for referrals after each successful engagement. Now consider content/inbound.
