Step-by-step plan
- 1
Review the past week (10 min)
What did you complete? What carried over? What went wrong? Write 2–3 sentences. Don't dwell — just capture and move on.
- 2
Brain-dump all tasks (5 min)
Write everything you need or want to do this week from memory — no filtering. Work tasks, errands, projects, goals, calls, deadlines.
- 3
Pick your top 3 priorities (5 min)
From the brain-dump, identify the 3 tasks that would make this week a success if completed. Mark them clearly. Everything else is secondary.
- 4
Block time in your calendar (10 min)
Put your top 3 in the calendar as time blocks. Also block: deep work time, meetings, exercise, admin time. Protect deep work blocks like meetings.
- 5
Set a weekly intention (5 min)
Write one sentence: "This week I want to feel/achieve/focus on ___." This gives context beyond tasks and helps with decisions during the week.
